I came back home from duty and was so tired that I couldn't wait to lie on my bed. But not before I sent another hopefully-long-enough encouraging sms =) Anyway after my shower, I just fell asleep immediately on my bed for five straight hours. This is expected. Afterall, I only slept like one hour plus during my duty and I had to stay in office until twelve noon the next day before I could go home. I did not know why but my vision was slightly blurry when I was heading for lunch with the guys today. Probably the lack of sleep. Well enough about my sleep. Let's backtrack a bit.
So, on sunday afternoon, karthi and I decided to visit tingfeng to check out how he was recovering from his spinal operation. So we met up at hougang interchange at 1230 and walked over to his house which was near monfort secondary. Karthi was so impressed by my navigation to get to tingfeng's house. Haha. What I did was just looking at the map and using my compass as directions. So tingfeng was at home alone when we reached. He looked fine and was able to walk around at ease although he could not jog yet. And he even had his own exercise schedule planned out by his physiotherapist. We chatted for a while, talked about work, whether there were any changes and we asked about his operation. He told how scary it was, that he regretted going for the operation. He was bedridden for four days before he could get down from the bed to walk. His operation was to straighten his curved spinal cord through spinal fusion and instrumentation. It was a major operation and his scar on the back was much longer than mine on my chest. So after an hour of chat or so, we left his house and he accompanied us to the bus stop. It will be until apr before he is able to return to work. Until then.
I was feeling very sleepy last night and today. One interesting thing that happened was that I was almost dozing off in front of my computer and I was typing an article out. I was in a half-asleep mode so I was thinking and typing the words down accordingly. Then I decided that I did enough for the time being, so I saved the article and took a short nap. I woke up later after my mind was more refreshed to continue the article. Then I realised that whatever I had typed as I was dozing off did not make any sense at all! It was all jumbled up words which I thought I had typed in correctly just now. So in the end, I had to delete everything and did it again. Zzz. Haha. This is the effect of not getting enough sleep.
I am not exactly happy today. Emotions spread like a disease. Sadness can be felt easily by people around you. I should have helped you more with the excel application last night. Don't put too much blame on yourself. Stay optimistic and work harder for the rest. What's over is over. We should look forward =) If sadness spreads so easily, so does happiness and joy! So I shall aim to keep you happy everyday (: Stay happy alright! I shall spread my happiness to you. Haha. I will be there wherever you need me. This is not emo, this is encouragement! Haha. No more emo-ness. No more sadness. <3 <3
That's all now, stay happy everyone hellmos signing off...
Nothing much to do, so here I am to update. System down, so I can't do my work...sigh... More translations to do, so much in the tray... Yup, here's my second night duty of my time here.
The night is still long, hopefully I can sleep for a few hours later. There's so much things to do and the ****ing thing is not up!! Never mind, I can use the time to blog then...haha
I went back to school this morning to collect my graduation certificate and yearbook, and jenhan just snatched the yearbook away to scan through, grrr... Alright back to topic, I went with stanley this morning. He just POPed and had this crewcut of a typical tekong POPian. We collected our certificates and had a chat with the library auntie. After that we went to get a drink and did some pull ups. Just as we were about to leave, we met salihin at the atrium and accompanied him to the library to collect his certificate. Coincidentally, we met the class girls in the library as well. So we took our yearbooks and started signing autographs on it. After that, the girls had the intention of going out to shop so both me and Stanley tagged along to grab some lunch. We went taka to shop, the girls split up and some of us went to Mos Burger to eat. I couldn't stay long though and had to leave at one plus. The girls were still shopping in Giordano when I left. It was a great time to go out with them although it was so short. We caught up on our lives and I managed to find out where they are going to study. Most of them are going NUS but Stan and Salihin are going NTU, same as me!!! C: Well, all the best to all the girls for your further studies in one and a half month's time, keep in touch and enjoy your lives C:
Alright, system is back online, I can do my work now, so that's all for now, be back later after my translations =X hellmos signing off...
Damn it, blogger eat my post grrr... Relax, just have to retype everything again,
It's my first duty and it's a weekend duty, means I can get a day off tomorrow!! It's part of my OJT and so far it has been pretty slack except in the morning where I was doing translation from Indon to English. Otherwise, I was listening to songs over youtube and crunchyroll or playing archmage, haha I set the browser to refresh every 5 minutes, so I can get 1 turn after every refresh. Master Lit was very kind to us, he brought marinated meat and sausages from home and treated us to a barbecue in the pantry, so basically that was our lunch. Duty has been quite slack so far. Maybe it's because there are three of us here. Normally there are only two guys on duty. So if one of them decides to take leave, it would be quite disastrous for the other one. I wonder how it would be like but it is certainly no fun to do everything alone. I wish I would never get that kind of situation.
As mentioned earlier, I was listening to Japanese anime songs over youtube and crunchyroll. I was listening to songs by this Japanese girl in particular, Yui. She is very talented with the guitar and her songs are very nice too. Two of them, Rolling Star and Life, are cool opening and ending themes for Bleach respectively. I will try to embed the youtube videos here if possible. Besides Yui, I also listened to High and Mighty Color, Nami Tamaki etc. If you find the songs nice, do ask me for the songs haha.
Here are some updates for this week, on Tuesday morning, I went for the NUS faculty scholarship interview. It was quite relaxed and the professors seem impressed by my results but I felt that everyone who applied for this scholarship would have impressive results. It was over in a short while and guess what, I met one of my Taurus Coy PCs there, Desmond!! He was applying for the scholarship as well so he turns out to be competitor haha. So we talked for a while before I had to rush to report back to my unit. Then on Thurs, I received a letter from NTU!! I have been granted a place in NTU Aerospace Engineering, after waiting for this while, finally a confirmation! Now I will just have to wait for the letter from NUS, hopefully it comes with my scholarship confirmation ;) Well, I will just have to wait and see how, there's still one month to go. Nothing significant has happened so far other than this two.
There's 10 more mins before I finish my duty, so it's back to more songs and games then, that's all for now, more updates coming soon, and I can rest tomorrow which means a two day holiday for me!! See you then, hellmos signing off.....
