Yay added a song to my blog,
Life by YUI!!!
Very nice song!!! Haha...and it's a BLEACH opening song!!!

Enough said, listen for yourself guys...Haha
Back to topic,
It's been almost two months since I got posted to this unit. Everything seems fine so far, a bit of changes here and there but I am definitely proud that I actually improved in my Bahasa Melayu (Malay). Now I can translate without relying much on toggletext, which is good C:

I can't talk much about work here, it being in NS. So I shall refrain from talking about work C:
A few more weeks before the acceptance to university closes. I have gotten both letters but I have yet to make a choice. I have more or less made up my mind already. I don't think I should say so much here, just in case they go around reading blogs and decide not to give me what I want =X Well, if you want to find out more, just ask me personally and I will kindly tell you. Recently, I tried googling my name and turns out there are other people called cheeyen as well but I think they are mostly girls haha. Well, I managed to find myself mentioned in blogs of other people as well haha.

I just had a chat with my friend, he just decided on choosing environmental engineering at NUS. I asked him why NUS, he replied that he always like NUS better and he added that it didn't mind because we still have two more years to choose our courses. That was quite true in some sense, I don't really have to think much about it now but what about the girls? This period of time, I can say, could be one of the hardest times for them, to choose the correct course and not regret in the future. There are a lot of factors concerning this. Even I am helpless when it comes to advising my friends on what course to take. It's like the battle between the heart and the mind. The heart goes for whatever it desires while the mind, being the "educated" one, would definitely go for what is best for it. It's not easy for the heart and mind to agree with each other and this leaves people all confused and worrying about what to choose. And to add on, with other "educated" minds around influencing your thoughts, how can you choose the one that your heart desires? This is just how the world functions, people work for the salaries and job prospects yet where are the devotion and enthusiasm that you should find in a career that you like?

Enough said, I think I crap too much, this might make people even more confused. To all the people having a hard time choosing, especially the girls, choose carefully whether with your heart or mind, and be prepared to face the future. Whether or not, you will regret, it's all in the future.
Before I end, an extract from Jeryle's blog (subjected to my editing):

"Universities, they're just like girls.

Firstly, us guys, we need to work damn damn hard to get into a university. Us guys need to work damn hard and be so damn lucky to get into a girl. Get the drift?

There's initially, that 2 years of JC life. Oh yeah, sometimes thats how long it takes to get the girl you want too my friends. In that 2 years, you can slack it off, but pay the consequences by the nose. You don't work hard, you don't get your girl. You see, spaces in universities are limited. Just like the limited amount of eligible girls. So competition is intense. Tough.

You can work really hard too, and off course reap the fruit of your labour, in getting your course of choice. Of course there are those weird exceptions when you work damn hard, but still don't get your uni place and those that don't work at all, but still get the course of your choice. Lucky asses..

Then there's that phase of applying, you know how it's like. Paying money to apply for a uni, just like forking out cash to go on dates with your girl, TRYING to give it a go. Most guys quite kiasu i think, apply to all 3 universities. Heng heng can get into 1 of the 3. Reminds me of how some people during valentines day, ask many girls out at once, wait to see the response, and then decide whom to go out with.

So yes, i see many people in literal pain, having to chose between universities. See la, too many girls give you a headache, each has their own good points, making it hard to choose. Then, when no uni sends you a letter, also headache. No girl likes you, you also feel the heat. SIGH.

See la, can't live with them, can't live without them. Worst part is, better choose carefully, because just one wrong choice, and you're probably screwed for the rest of your life."

No offense to girls here, just for laughs maybe...
I actually wanted to blog on some bad stuffs but my lazy self just would not allow me to do so, so I shall not do it unless the stuffs start coming back to me...I hope not C:
That's all for now, hellmos signing off...Navy Open House tomorrow!!!

Hoho, it's my second duty on a Sat AM shift,
so far so good, translated a few articles, slack around watching bleach and naruto on crunchyroll haha...
the techies were fixing the computers in the office, so it was quite messy and there were only 3 computers available but we only got Internet access, there was no intranet, so basically there was nothing we could do in the whole morning until they got the things fixed at noon.

I didn't have much sleep yesterday night because I got home late after watching Spiderman 3, but surprisingly I am not feeling tired now. Spiderman 3 was very nice and cool, Tobey Maguire was very funny at some parts of the movie. Although it ended at midnight, it was worth the time spent. I went to watch it with my platoon mates, so we chatted a while to catch up on stuff. In the end, we missed the last train and bus, so we could only wait for the nightriders or nightowls to get home. In the end I took NR1 home after waiting for around 20 minutes. The NR1 ride was quite exciting because it was my first time taking it. It passes by a lot of clubs and pubs where most of the people would still be hanging around after midnight. It was a rather interesting trip for me, at least some experience learnt. So, I reached home at 0100 hours and hence I only slept for 4 hours plus.

Now for some updates this week,
Thursday was an eventful day. Firstly, we played basketball for sports. It was quite daring, because we were not allowed to play contact sports after 3 people got injured within a month last year. Anyway it was a fun and friendly match. I haven't play basketball for almost a year already, so my shooting has gone rusty already haha. But anyway I hope that we can play more such sports in the future. Previously, Ma'am Angie informed us that she wanted to treat us dinner and she had already made reservations. So after sports, we rushed back to change into civilian clothes quickly. Luckily Mark was willing to drive us to Orchard, and from there, we took mrt to City Hall. It was a Peranakan buffet style restaurant called Plaza Market Cafe located at Raffles the Plaze. There was sushi, sashimi, popiah, satay, peranakan food, oysters, clams and salad. The food was quite delicious and the peranakan food was exceptionally spicy. I heard that it was $42++ per person. I wondered why Ma'am wanted to treat the five of us. Nevertheless, it was a good meal and I am sure we enjoyed it all thanks to Ma'am. And one more thing to add, I got the letter from NUS!!! This means I got accepted into both universities. But now, I will have to make a decision between both universities. There's still one month left for me to reply. Hopefully I can be able to get the NUS faculty scholarship. Then it might be easier for me to choose. That's all for now then, but before I go, time for another song, 大哥 by 衛蘭 Janice, it's the chinese version for "Never Let You Go" also sung by 衛蘭. Hope you enjoy...
hellmos signing off...
