Yes, it's an unearthly hour now, and here I am again during my duty. It's my last duty for the year 2007, an indication that I am soon approaching my one year mark of national service (:

Yulei came back to singapore, so we went out with her yesterday for a small gathering. This time, weeloon came along too! And I managed to persuade fiona to join us too. Haha thanks for coming (: And we went to ajitei for lunch again, just like the previous time we met. As usual, the guys were the quiet ones while the girls, yulei most of the time, were entertaining us with their chats. Yulei kept relating her funny incidents in US which certainly provided good entertainment for us. Initial plans to catch a movie was cancelled so we went to mos burger to sit down and talk some more. Yulei certainly never changed at all even though she went to US. She is still as cheerful as before. I hope she enjoy her studies in US, a really good opportunity for her. And certainly we must do something for her 21st birthday next year too (: And thanks for the chance that yulei created for me too, even though she probably doesn't know the existence of this blog. Haha (:

Actually my entries are not short, it's probably because I type everything in paragraph form which makes it more compact and looks short. And I am trying my best to blog more this few days too. Maybe I should think about my new year resolutions for 2008. Firstly, I must pass my ippt! I am still stuck at four for my pull-ups. Time to train more when the year starts. Secondly, I want to learn driving. Since I have the free time, the driving centre is near my workplace and the test routes are considered the hardest of all places, why not? Thirdly, maybe I should go for some courses. Two years of not studying is certainly going to degenerate my brain. My news awareness may have improved but academically I certainly cannot solve any physics or chemistry questions without thinking about it for a very long time. Fourthly, I must treasure my family and friends more. Great friends are difficult to find, just like yulei and the gang (: And of course my dear ra. Fifthly, I must spend less time on the internet and more on reading! I think I have decided to cut down on my games. I need to read more books, brush up on my general knowledge and be smarter than a fifth grader! Haha. And lastly, I must be nicer to people (I know I am very nice already =P), learn to control my temper better, be more understanding, take things as the way they are, not rush into anything and of course be less demanding.

=)

I should stop here. Staying within topic is very important. Haha. Well it's the last day of 2007. Wishing all an early happy new year to everyone, may the new year be a better year =D I guess I shall be counting down at home tonight. I need more sleep. Zzz. Hopefully there's cycling on new year's day. I haven't cycled for very long already. I miss my bike. Haha. And we have four bikes at home, one for each one of us =D That's all for now then, time to tidy up my work and get ready for briefing.

I am in a I-just-slept-for-one-and-a-half-hour state. In other words, just to put it briefly, I am half awake now. I might just doze off halfway while typing, just like how I type my long messages on my phone ;) (edit: I think the following is full of crap and rants, read at your own risk...)

I could not believe I had been typing almost continuously since I started work just now. Maybe I am really going into sage mode. Hahaha. Work aside, I am taking a break now, so I think I should write about something else. It is approaching yet another year. Somehow this year passed by really quickly. First came 7 weeks of bmt, then followed by unit life from mar onwards. Unknowningly I have spent like nine months in this unit already. I guess it has been a great year. I have made many new friends, whether from bmt or from unit here. I have gotten closer with some people (: At least I still get to go out with my friends, just like how I went out with zhenghan, stanley, ken and haowen last sat to window-shop before christmas. It was just plain shopping around orchard. And we had tea (it was tea time, neither lunch nor dinner) at cedele depot in wheelock place. I saw omelette available on its all-day breakfast menu! ;) And the all-day breakfast ends at 5pm. We should try it some other time (:
Then we took silly pictures in front of shaw centre, posing with the angel statues there. Haha. We were just too bored.

Let's jump to something else, probably completely unrelated at all. Looking back on my secondary school life, I guess I still remain in contact with my friends. Maybe not so close anymore. As we went our separate ways, me choosing to stay in nj and not go over to hci, relations get stretched throughout the years. Looking at how rabbit is so close with her sec 2 friends, their friendship still going strong even after so many years, I just felt happy, maybe. Sometimes I really wonder how a male and a female can have differing thoughts and characteristics even though all of us came from the same source of life - a zygote. Could it be the differing way that we are brought up since young, which led to us behaving differently when we grew up? Or could it be that it is intrinsicly so, that the gene was expressed in this manner because males and females do have the x and y chromosomes to distinguish them apart. Probably so. Haiz. I am crapping over here. I think when I read this through later, it would not make any sense at all. But still I am grateful to stay in nj, a completely different environment. I am the minority over here, instead of becoming the majority over at hci. It's a rv-dominated environment. Haha. Because of my stay, I get to know great friends. It was really a choice to make at that time. But still I am glad (:

Haiz. This is a completely emo entry. It's really just random thoughts appearing in my head. Anyway I started watching one litre of tears recently. It's a really sad jdrama. So sad that people literally cried one litre of tears while watching. Well I must still mention that erika sawajiri is chio. Haha. Although it was a sad jdrama, somehow I have yet to cry. I know the scene is going to be sad, tears are about to form but it just will not come out. But to admit it, I was a crybaby when I was young. And I always got bullied for being a crybaby. So when I graduated from primary school, I told myself never to be a crybaby again, so that is probably why so. No one would believe that I was a crybaby in primary school. Haha. Up to you all to figure.

I only slept for one and a half hour just now and I am still going out later at 1pm to meet yulei and gang. I shall catch a bit of rest when I get home then and probably sleep earlier tonight to compensate for my loss of sleep. I do not want eyebags!! Haha. Eyebags be gone then. Time to do some work before I end my duty at eight then.

That's all for now,

I promised to blog today but after watching 1リットルの涙 (1 Litre no Namida) on crunchyroll just now, I realised I did not have much time left for the day. So probably I would be dedicating a longer post tomorrow during my duty (:

It's less than 400 days to ORD!!! My next target would of course be the one year mark =D

So, a few updates here. I did not manage to go for sports today because there was work to do. I was rather disappointed at not being able to go but work still had to be completed! In the end, I heard that nsfs won! Haha. I am still happy even though I was not part of the team. Anyway, nothing much happened this week. It's the Christmas mood, maybe. I managed to miss out on Christmas brunch in the unit because of duty off and I would be missing the bowling session next monday as well for similar reasons. It's rather unfortunate. I would love to try bowling for my first time. But I guess that would probably be the next time then.

I think there's probably plenty much to write tomorrow. I cannot think of anything to write now. Nothing links up in my head. There are so many ideas but I cannot see a way to link them together. Bleah. Never mind, I shall post some random stuff then.

I realised I had yet to finish writing about my trip to malaysia. I stopped at the part where it was just after dinner on the first day. I did not feel like updating the past few days. Sometimes, laziness just sets in so rapidly that you just do not feel like writing, that you just want to play your games, listen to music and when you finally realise, it is time to sleep. Well, that happened to me for the past few days. I did nothing else apart from starting to play scrabulous on facebook and getting some new songs to listen. Enough of the crap, it's time to finish up my trip.

So it was after dinner. My relatives decided to head to the eye on malaysia at kuala lumpur to have a look. The eye on malaysia is actually a portable ferris wheel and reportedly the tallest one (60m) in southeast asia. It sits in the middle of a lake and is linked to the side by a bridge. Just beside the lake is the cultural centre and national library. Comparatively, the singapore ferris wheel is still much bigger than this but at least this one is moving already while the one here is still under construction. As usual, parking lots were difficult to find, so my uncles daringly found their own parking lots on the pavement besides the roads. By the time we reached there, the ferris wheel was already approaching closing hours and judging from the countless amount of people queuing up on the bridge for the ride, we decided that it was not worth the try to queue up for it. So in the end, we just took photographs. It was a bit of a waste and I heard that the wheel was only for a trial period of one year to see how attractive it was to the public. Judging from the queue that night, I believe it is attractive enough for it to remain in operation for more than a year, hopefully. Anyway we had fun trying to count how many gondolas (the cabins) there were actually on the wheel while the wheel was still spinning. The easiest way was to take a reference point and count anti-clockwise or clockwise whichever direction you like. In the end, we left the place and I felt like sitting on a ferris wheel when I get the chance next time. Then we headed back to the hotel and we were just in time for the match of manchester united vs derby county! Well at least for me, my brother and my cousins. The television was giving us problems earlier in the day but fortunately we managed to fix the problem, allowing us to watch the match at ease. I do not have cable at home so I hardly get the chance to watch a soccer match and whenever I do get the chance, it often ends up in a boring draw. But this match never failed me. A 4-1 win over derby county. Excellent result I would say. Manchester united combined really well on frequent occasions, especially the first goal. Whenever manchester united lost possession, they won it back almost immediately. For the first goal, every attempt towards the derby goal was thwarted by opposing players but they kept possesion and pressured on. Ronaldo's fierce shot was parried away and giggs was in just the right position to tuck it away. Just plain brilliance. Haha. Anyway, the match ended late past midnight. Then I discovered that apart from the twin beds given, there was a spare mattress below the bed, just like the one in downtown east chalets. So I dragged that one out. It was decent enough to be slept on. So instead of four of us squeezing onto the twin beds, I chose to sleep on the spare one, while my brother and my two cousins slept on the twin beds, combined together.

The next morning, I was awoken by my brother and he passed over to me the gaming console. Guess what, my cousins brought their ps2, connected it to the television and were playing proevolution soccer 2008 on it! So in my half-awake state, I played a match before going to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. Anyway we woke up like two hours earlier than the rest of my relatives to play the game. Shhhh. I was using atletico madrid in my game and against the likes of real madrid and some stronger team, I won! Haha. It was my first time winning them in the game. Obviously I did not get to play so often but some good defending and excellent goalkeeping certainly saved me. As my relatives woke up, we were told to pack up our stuff in order to check out of the room. So after checking out and tugging all the bags to the cars, we proceeded for breakfast. The hawker centre we went to had some special food not usually found in kuala lumpur. Instead these food were more commonly found in my grandfather's hometown, kampar. Having missed the food in kampar for many years, we ordered those few dishes, some sort of trying to remember how those food tasted like many years ago.

Well, my grandparents moved to kulai because my grandmother had difficulty moving and my relatives reckoned that it would be best to stay somewhere near where everyone could reach in a matter of minutes, not hours. In fact, one of my uncle live just five houses away from them. Pretty convenient. It was probably some three years since they moved to kulai from kampar. For your information, kampar is in perak, somewhere south of ipoh. Kampar is just a small town but there are fond memories of my stay over there during the holidays. I missed the food over there, the freshly made orange juice with lots of ice, the zhu chang fen with fried tau ki, the soup noodles with similar ingredients as the zhu chang fen and probably many others. The people over are just so friendly. Everytime we went back, my mother was certain to meet someone she knew. And we can just go to the main town on bicycles. So living in this peaceful town of kampar became part of my memories as I grew up. I wonder how the place has changed for the past few years.

Alright my duty has just ended, so my update shall stop here then. Wait till I get home.

I SPRAINED MY RIGHT WRIST TODAY!!!! !@#$%^&*

It was damn painful. I had to wince at every moment I tried to use my right hand. I sprained my left wrist back in j1 but it wasn't so bad because it wasn't my master hand. But now it's my right hand's turn to get injured! It's probably time to train my left hand then since I can't twist or bend my right wrist at all. I applied some ointment just now. Hopefully it is useful for my sprain. I shall not reveal how I injured myself because it's potentially harmful for us. So, go ahead and ask me if you wish to find out. No more minesweeper in the meantime then, it's bad for the wrist. Either that or I go and learn how to use the mouse with my left hand. Haha.

Alright back to my trip to sunway lagoon. So after walking back the suspension bridge, we went to grab some lunch which was kaya toast and burger. Then we went back to play! We went round the lazy river for three rounds and I never knew that just splashing water at people alone could be so tiring. I was panting at the end of the three rounds. From there we moved on to the tidal pool. And it was just more splashing and pushing for the rest of our remaining time over there. By the time we decided to stop, it was already approaching closing time. The theme park opens at 1000 and closes at 1800. So we quickly showered and changed into clean clothes. After leaving the theme park, we headed straight to our hotel to place our bags. I was supposed to share a twin-bedded room with my brother and two cousins. There were several private colleges located within that area and according to my uncle staying there, the hotel was meant for parents to stay while they were visiting their children studying here. We got the corner room so it was comparatively more spacious. And they had cable which meant that we could watch manchester united versus derby county on that night! Dinner was at some zi cha 煮炒 stall. When you are in a big group of people in malaysia and it's dinner time, it's highly possible that you would be having zi cha. This was what I noticed in malaysia. There are hardly any other food stalls open at night, so the only choice would be zi cha. Dinner was alright but I felt that the auntie was trying to con us. The scenario was that we paid and got into our cars then she came rushing out saying that there was a miscalculation in the bill and it was supposed to be 30 ringgit more. She did not specify what miscalculation it was but we paid up in the end just to resolve matters.

That's all for today. I am deeply sorry if you have to read about my journey in bits and pieces. This is probably because I do not have the concentration to type out one full entry and my right wrist was also hurting even as I was typing this entry. So, to protect my wrist from further damage, I shall stop here (= Hope my wrist can recover soon. And it's friday tomorrow! Another week to be gone soon!

So I am back from my leave and visit to malaysia over the weekend. I felt reluctant to wake up for work this morning, the after-effects of waking up late for the past one week. But still, I made it to office and made it back home after a day's work. Enough said, it's time to blog about my trip to malaysia from 7 to 10 dec!

First destination was to my grandfather's house (maternal side) in kulai. I stayed over there for the night because we were only setting off to kuala lumpur the next morning. I woke up at 5am the next morning, got ready to set off and waited for the rest of my relatives to arrive. So there were five families heading upwards to kuala lumpur and we squeezed into three cars for the journey. The journey to kuala lumpur took approximately three hours. It was almost ten by the time we arrived there. One of my uncles worked and stayed somewhere near kuala lumpur so we arranged to meet him there. Then we had fishball noodles for breakfast at some rather famous place there. After breakfast we drove to sunway lagoon resort for our activity of the day! Sunway lagoon was actually a multi-theme theme park with various types of attractions. It had the usual theme park attractions together with a water world like wild wild wet of singapore. So we bought tickets and entered the theme park but they had a unique requirement that no outside food and drinks were to be brought into the theme park, drinking water inclusive. Probably they wanted visitors to purchase all food and drinks within the theme park, another way to increase their revenue. The theme park boasted its latest attraction which was the water theme park located in the deepest part of the theme park. There was also the world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge, giving us bird's eye view of the whole water theme park. So we got changed and rented rubber tubes. The water slides were truly very exciting and thrilling, so much so that you would want to try it as many times as possible. And there was this water channel which we called the "lazy river". We could just sit in our tubes and float round the river. But obviously that was always not the case. We would trying to overtake one another and splashing at one another in our tubes. Tubes took turns to capsize as we congested the whole river. It was just pure fun and laughter. My cousin then suggested riding the roller coaster but we could not find the entrance when we got up there. Instead we found the entrance to the suspension bridge. So off we went, onto the suspension bridge and metres above the water theme park. All of us were barefooted and although the weather was slightly cloudy, the wooden planks still felt hot and to make things worse, at the middle of the bridge, wooden planks at the middle were replaced by metal grilles, allowing for us to look through the bridge to the lagoon below. Those scared of heights gripped one another as tightly as possible. When we arrived at the end of the suspension bridge, there was this flying fox activity available but unfortunately we only found out that we had to purchase another ticket to take the flying fox after waiting at the bridge for a very long period of time. In the end, guess what, we walked back on the suspension bridge to the end we came from!

I shall stop here for the time being, not much time left to finish it up. And I still have to work tomorrow. zzZ. I have been watching tv lately, especially tuning in to the korean dramas. And I found yoo hee in witch yoo hee very pretty and cute. Haha. Those big big eyes. Well to see her pictures, here's one of the websites I found (=
http://gallery.asianfanatics.net/index.php?act=thumbs&aid=2119
It would probably take me a few days to finish the whole series by watching it online. I would maybe spend the weekend doing so then.

That's all for now, my next update should be tomorrow then (=

Happy Birthday to the Thai King!!
Happy birthday to me, Happy birthday to me,
Happy birthday to cheeyen, Happy birthday to ME!!!

And Happy Birthday to everyone born on 5th Dec =)

So I am officially 19 years old. Last year of being a teenager. Another step towards adulthood. Many thanks to all the people who wished me a happy birthday =) At least it makes me happy that there are people who remember my birthday. Haha.

A big thank you to soon heng, fiona, weeyin, tiffany, tian meng, cherie, cheong seng, vanessa, karthi, jen han, zhen ming, milton, hendrick, tingfeng, cherlynn, ching li, xin hui, siang yong, mdm, navjote, nick liew, jocelyn, wei jie, zehan, shijia, kangwen, nik and sara. ^@^

Today was a rainy day. So nice to sleep in but so bad to go out in. The rain did not stop at all since I woke up until just a few hours ago. Anyway I was stuck at home for the whole day today. There was no plans to go out anyway. Well, my birthday is just as simple as before. Nothing special. I am just glad that I am not missed by my friends. And having the same birthday as the Thai King is surely something worth remembering. Haha.

I just wish that everything will pass well till the end of my ns life. That I will be able to achieve things I set out for. I definitely do not have 19 wishes. I cannot even think of so many. Haha. It is already 6th Dec now. Looks like my only hopes of going out for the whole of this week is also shattered )= It's alright. You really do need some rest at home. Going out everyday is not very good. Rabbit needs to sleep more! Since you book the date, it's up to you. It's been pretty long already. I also don't know what to do. Haha. Second time already busy rabbit =P But thanks a lot for your long long message. It's touching and sweet ^@^ Giving you a special mention here. Rabbit rocks!! Have a good rest and sweet dreams. Good night chubby and tired rabbit (^(oO)^)

I guess that's all for now, going off to malaysia from 7 till 10 Dec. Until my next update then.

Have you heard of this japanese singer named rie fu or songs like "Life is Like a Boat" and "I Wanna Go To A Place..."? Well both songs were sung by her, rie fu, for popular animes like Bleach and Gundam Seed Destiny. For those who have heard her songs, they are nice right =) Some day last week, zehan, me and someone else I couldn't recall were talking about Bleach and so we sort of mentioned about the opening and ending theme songs. Then zehan said that he liked the first ending song of Bleach which was as above mentioned and he mentioned that it was sung by rie fu. The name sounded familiar to me. I must have seen it somewhere in my music playlist before. So I got home and searched my playlist! I wiki-ed on her too. So, it turns out that she graduated from Central Saint Martins college of the University of the Arts London, so she is fluent in english and japanese. In addition, she paints too! She has her own website of her paintings. Although she does not have many paintings, they are still very nice. You can find her paintings at her official painting website here http://riefunakoshi.com

Sorry to those who do not understand what I am talking about in the above paragraph. It is meant for anime and jpop lovers. Haha. Alright now back to my life. Today was my first duty for december and my last one before I go on a week-long leave from work. I managed to equal my record number today at work, some sort of accomplishment before I disappear from office. It's now time to take a break from work and maybe enjoy myself this week. Perhaps I should really go for some exercise. The soccer game with karthi and his friends yesterday was superb but short. I had never played so well for very long. It was also time to get some tan after getting stuck in office for so long. Well almost another year has passed. I am soon going to be another year older. There's nothing much to look forward to. Probably just a simple celebration. It has always been simple. I guess I am satisfied with that. Just three more days.

That should be all for now,
