Yesterday was the official handover for the Astronomy Club. It was the day where all the J2s can finally step down from their positions and really settle down for their studies. This would be one of the last few sessions that I will be going for, i guess. Everyone gave speeches, expressing their love for the club. The juniors gave specially made cards to all the seniors. Some alumni came back to witness the handover. Then we went to KAP for our dinner and bonding session as usual. Overall, it was a fun day. I received a lot of cards and even a specially made book by the twins (I know it was not meant to be Omega Centauri, haha). I am really proud to see that the members are enjoying themselves in the club. I am glad that we were able to take part in so many events during my term as president. RP Mars Watch, Perseids meteor shower, Lyrids meteor shower, NTU-NUS Astro Challenge, International Physics Olympiad and of course our informal outing last weekend. All the events have brought all the members closer together. It's great to see no segregation between the J1s and IPs. I believe they will do the best for the club. There will be more events and greater achievements for the club, no doubt. The club now lies in their hands. I shall just be an observer. They are destined to find themselves in difficulty but they are even more destined to overcome all difficulty that lies ahead of them. This is the trust that I put in all of you, the new exco. I hope that you all can surpass us and bring the club to greater heights. Jiayou ba!!
I have learnt alot from this club. Being a president is not easy and we met with alot of problems often. Nevertheless, we got through everything and here we are, passing on the baton successfully. I was not a pro to start with but then again I am still not a pro now lol. I have not only learnt astronomy knowledge but also got to know a group of friends who share the same interest as me. This will remain as one of the best memories I have in JC life. I will miss you all guys but I promise that I will come back as often as possible to help you all :D
Now it's time to concentrate on my studies le, I must cut down on my soccer sessions, only 4 weeks left, DOMA all the way!! Now, back to my NJ Prelim 05 Physics paper, faints...

This is damn bad, very bad. This is the first time I ever get such grades and I swear never to get them again. BDO7F. Bio seriously sucks, first time I failed it so badly. Maybe I was not really prepared, maybe I did not place enough emphasis on certain topics and unluckily these topics just had to come out.
Oh well, this might be just a signal for me to give up on all my games and start to concentrate on my studies. For today onwards, I will no longer play FM. It's a promise and I will keep it. I have decided to join tian meng in his DOMA session (not DOTA) and he has come up with a motto for it, "Cover to Cover". After the handing over for Astro, I will have more free time. Although I might still go back for sessions, I guess I will be spending most of my time in school. It's time to stop playing so much soccer and get down to serious mugging.
Going for IPhO tomorrow. It's time to enhance the reputation of the Astro Club. I hope everyone will enjoy it tomorrow. I guess I won't be able to play in the semi and final match but I believe in the team, CMI811. They can do it and they will win it. Good luck to whoever is playing tomorrow.
Alright, got to go pack my bag for IPhO tomorrow.

It's the World Cup 2006 semi finals and four European countries qualified for it. First match up is Germany vs Italy. It was weird but I seemed to have a dream in which Germany won Italy 4-2 lol. I didn't know whether it's full time score or based on penalties. But come to think of it, how is it possible that Germany can score 4 goals against Buffon? He's undeniably the best goalkeeper in the world, for him to leak 4 goals? Very low probability. However, Klose, surprisingly, is the top scorer of World Cup 2006 although I must say he really cannot finish that well. I wonder where all the goalpoachers have gone to? Well, Germany, as the host nation, should win this match. However, Italy should show that they are not intimidated as well and it's been a long time since they won the World Cup. Oh yeah, I must include a bit of history in here. German legend, Franz Beckenbauer, was the captain when West Germany won their first World Cup in 1974. He then managed the team and brought them to another World Cup in 1990. Now he is in the organising committee of World Cup 2006. So is it possible that Germany will win the World Cup once again? Who knows, we will find out soon enough :D
I finally finished all my common tests, physics S was ok, just got blanks here and there, haha. Most likely we will know some of our results tomorrow. I am not really looking forward to know my results as I sort of already predicted it. Sigh, whatever, I will know soon.
