I was too tired yesterday so I did not even attempt to update at all. Sports was really tiring, especially after running four rounds for warm-up and an hour plus of soccer. My legs are still aching a little. Nevertheless, it was a great session which brought back memories of playing soccer during primary and secondary school. Haha. Anyway, good news for me! I passed my ippt!
I decided to do away with the paragraphing after our dear birthday boy, navjote, pointed out my extraordinary long thousand-words paragraph which I had typed in the previous entry. Oops. So, I took my ippt on tuesday last week, together with three other guys from the unit. Then, some other guys from the unit volunteered to help out with the event by assisting in the stations. First up was situps which everyone finished the targeted number easily with at least ten seconds remaining. Next was standing board jump which I had not done for almost a year. The first jump was poor but the second one managed to clear the mark by a little bit fortunately. Then it was time for pull-ups. One, two, three, four, five, six! I did it! I finally cleared the mark after training for so long. Finally, the last static station was shuttle run which was, once again, completed with ease. Then after around ten minutes of rest, it was time for our 2.4km run. This time round, I must dedicate my result to my fellow leongjx who was still recovering from his sundown marathon injuries and yet was willing to pace the runners, especially me for the run. If not for the push at the final stretch of the run, I would have been unable to achieve that kind of timing. Even though he specifically tagged to tell me to leave out this part, I believed that was basically his reverse psychology for me to give him some credit for my ippt. Haha =p
Then, on wednesday, we went for another food outing for dinner! This time round, we went to riverwalk tandoor which was somewhere near home club. It was a north indian buffet. The food there was good but even though it was supposed to be a buffet, most of us could not take it already after two plates of food. We should have skipped lunch that day. Haha. It was the usual chat during dinner and walking around after the meal. Unfortunately, the person who introduced this place to us, our dear navjote again, was sick and could not go for the dinner with us. Nevertheless, I believe there are always other chances in the future to eat there again.
This shall be all for the day. I shall try to recall if I have anything else to blog about then. It is time to sleep. Good night to all. Nudges. Stay happy! 220 days left....Haha. =D
That's all for now,
hellmos signing off...Labels: dinner, IPPT, north indian food
