I am back for my longer update! As promised yesterday. Haha. I just realised I had been blogging about anime and manga for the past three entries. Actually I read manga only when there is no one to talk to, which is why I am able to finish two manga series within these few weeks because the person I talk to most is not there. I shall not talk about manga or anime in this entry then. Enough of them for the past three entries already. I shall write about what happened the previous week then.

On the sunday before, not yesterday, cherie's cca organised a concert called cac+us which was performed by musical, dance and performance groups under the cultural activities club. I was persuaded to go due to several influences who were all part of the organising committee. Initially vanessa was supposed to go but she was not feeling well, so I managed to ask yulei to go with me right on that day itself. In addition, I realised that huiling was going alone because fiona could not go too. So I asked her to sit with us. The concert was held at the university cultural centre. The performing groups included guitar, band, hip hop, jazz, lindy hop, social dance and accappella. So the groups took turns to perform for the two whole hours. An interesing stuff was that at the start of the concert, when I asked yulei and huiling to guess who the backstage emcee was because all of us knew her, they couldn't tell who she was. I thought it was quite obvious but then again I knew about it beforehand. The emcee was weeyin! Haha. Anyway the performing groups did well, considering they were students and probably did not have much time to practise. Most of the audience were probably there to support the performing groups but we were there to support the organising committee. I did a bit of catching up with yulei and huiling during the concert but we did not manage to meet cherie, weeyin or siang yong at the end of the concert because they had some clearing up to do.

Then on tuesday, we had sports during work. Our sports day was officially moved from wednesday to tuesday due to some clash in timetable with the afs where we usually play our sports. As usual, I went to play soccer but this time round it was in the hall due to bad weather. I played very badly that day. No moment of brilliance, no dribbles, no passes, no shots converted. I think I am approaching a decline in my soccer skills. No more improvement. Haha. But never mind, all we want is just to have fun and enjoy sports together.

Next on wednesday, I was supposed to take my ippt together with three other nsfs in the afternoon. I had been training hard for it so I was fairly confident in passing the test. However, by lunchtime, the weather turned bad. There was a slight drizzle with signs of lightning and thunder. After the rain, a cat one warning was issued so we had a feeling that the test would be ancelled. By three pm, we were still waiting for instructions on whether the test would proceed. In the end, the test was postponed! This meant that I had more time to train for my pullups! Time to push beyond six! Rawr. Haha.

Finally, the most awaited day came on friday because I was going for aristal 2008. Aristal was an annual dance concert organised by my college involving all the dance groups in school. This time round, ly was performing in indian dance and she asked whether I was interested to go. So I asked fiona and she agreed. I took half day off that day to collect the tickets from ly first. However she had to rehearse and left the tickets at the counter where I went to collect later. Anyway aristal was also held at the university cultural centre so it was my second time back there last week. I collected the tickets early and took a bus out to clementi. I spent some time walking about the clementi central since we agreed to meet at seven. I got to clementi mrt station early and waited. It is actually pretty obvious to know whether someone coming out of the station is going for the concert. They are either appropriately dressed or even holding flowers and gifts with them which was a definite indication. So I just spent my time observing the people who were attending the concert. I was sure that most of them were current batches of students or those who just graduated from school the year before. I did not see any familiar faces though apart from one or two. In the end, we arrived late at the place and missed about 15 minutes of the concert. But nevertheless, I never regretted going for the concert. The dance items were just splendid! The chinese dances were graceful and smooth. The western dances were groovy and high. The indian dances were lively and joyous and the malay dances were somewhat eerie but unique. The costumes were so beautiful and the choreography was very well. The western dances also played great hits for their dances like plies's hypnotized, florida's low, britney spears's break the ice and one republic's apologize! Their dance moves were very well choreographed because they matched the music exactly beat for beat. However they should not have chosen "hypnotized" if the song was censored too much because the music did not flow well with the frequent silence over the censored words. Nevertheless, I must say that the dancers did a great job indeed. And I was surprised that meerra performed for the alumni section of indian dance. Both of us saw this petite figure performing on stage with her trademark smile and we had a feeling that she was meerra! After looking at the facebook pictures just now, it was really her and the alumni guys who performed were all from my batch, namely karunan, prakaash, haikel and khairi. It was so unexpected because I was not expecting an alumni performance at all. Haha. Both of us enjoyed the concert really much. At least it made you happy. =)

It's time to go now. I am getting nagged at. I hope this update is long enough. Good night to all. Stay happy always. Nudges. =D

That's all for now,
hellmos signing off...
