Okay, I have been persuaded out of my laze to blog again. Seriously I think I am very lazy at blogging. Maybe I don't like blogging. Then what am I doing here? Haha. By the way, this is the 99th post on my blog!

Crappiness aside. I am here for update my dear readers! As I was saying, I spent the whole sat afternoon as well as the whole of fri night out. So I was dead tired yesterday. Anyway, it's time to describe what I did. Well, on friday night, after rushing back from work and a quick dinner, I was out to meet my friends (my army colleagues) at the esplanade. The arts festival is currently on show in singapore and there was a performance on friday that I was definitely not going to miss. A singaporean singer who moved to Japan to further her singing carreer, olivia ong was back to singapore to perform for the arts festival! So she was holding a 45 minute mini concert with free admission at the concourse in the esplanade. Actually I got influenced to listen to her songs because of my army friends, junxiang in particular, since the cds were in his stash. Her songs were of a different genre from the usual songs I listened to but still I was attracted to her voice and so I got introduced to her songs. So here she was, holding a concert in singapore, which was, I think, her first time doing so here. So all of us were interested and eager to witness her singing live, so there we were, among a huge crowd of people who probably shared similar sentiments or were attracted by her as well. I was rather surprised by her popularity. As my friends commented, the people there did not seem like passers-by but looked more like being there specially for her performance. Since it was an open free performance, the audience either sat or stood round where she was performing. She appeared punctually, with her band, the olivia ong quintet, behind her. From there on, she went on to perform several soothing hits, pausing during songs to introduce herself and her band. I was simply indulged in her songs until I realised that her performance was ending. When she finished her last song, the audience gave a big round of applause. I believed all of us enjoyed her performance very much. Then as the applause died down, dispersed cheers of encore sounded out from the crowd. Soon the cheers got louded until the emcee asked, "Would the audience like an encore?" The answer was unanimous. She took a break, came back to the front and said, "This is totally unprepared." But I figured she was somehow prepared for it, since most performances usually come with at least one encore which was previously prepared for. Finally after yet another great hit, she ended her performance. She began to proceed her way down. The crowd started to disperse. Fans rushed forward, crowding around her for autographs, photographs and even precious handshakes. She was friendly and sweet to her fans. Nicholas and junxiang got their albums autographed and nicholas even managed a handshake that was so dear to him that he refused to touch anything else with his right hand. Haha. I managed to get a photo of her on my pathetic 1.3 megapixel N5300 but it did not look nice so I shall not post it here. I shall wait for chris to share his photographs then.

So olivia ong's mini concert ended and it was around ten when we left the esplanade. We decided to go for a round of drinks over at clarke quay at hongxuan's introduction. His introduction was this home club over at riverwalk place. It looked more like a pub instead of a club. So the first round were glasses of asahi beer. I down-ed one easily. I am a "beer" person. Haha. Then I received a message, fiona and hl wanted to come over. I thought it was a bit awkward, two girls with me and seven other guys. But they came over in the end. I went to get them and got mixed up over the bridges at the singapore river. There is more than one bridge at the singapore river! Haha. So I brought them back to the home club. I was caught with alcoholic breath. Oops. Previously we were sitting outside, then when I came back, the guys had gone into the club. The three of us managed to get in after a bit of delay. Erm. So they introduced one another and settled down. The guys had opened a bottle of chivas with two jugs of green tea and coke to mix with. I tried my hands at mixing, realised that I added too much alcohol on the first sip and had to dilute the drink. Cheers and clashing of glasses went round. Shouts of ord echoed among us. We were just too high that day. But that was not all. With the chivas getting low, the green tea and coke finished, some of them went hardcore which I kindly refrained. So they drank it pure and finished the bottle. But it was still early. Hongxuan then order eight glasses of tequila shots. I had a feeling I was approaching my limit. My body felt hot, my head felt heavy and my bladder was bursting soon. The shots came and hongxuan demonstrated how we were supposed to down the glass. We were supposed to cover the glass and slam the glass hard onto the table. The drink fizzled and we were supposed to drink it all down in a single gulp. I drank two glasses. The guys made the girls drink so I had to help. I was supposed to take the third one but I knew that after that glass, I would have gone past my limit and "concussed". Fortunately, fiona stopped me. =) That was my last drink. From then on, I just kept taking icecubes as substitution for water so that my alcohol volume could get diluted. It was way past midnight by then. I knew I was going to get screwed by the time I went home. Anyway, the club started belting out rock songs and the guys just got high, especially hongxuan. I thought our behaviour should have shocked the girls. Things just got more intense as the guys proceeded down to the dancefloor. I was even branded as "able to dance very well" and persuaded to join them. But I strongly refused, knowing that I knew nuts about dancing. Too bad =P I shall learn how to dance next time. Haha. After a while, the girls decided to leave, so I went along to accompany them since it was really getting very late. I cabbed home in the end.

I shall end my updates for friday here. =)

I realised every time I felt down or tired, a single nudge was simply enough to bring a smile to my face. No matter how I was feeling previously, all I could feel was happiness and joy while chatting. I can never forget all the randomness and crappiness shared. Haha. Thank you so much =) For all the happiness and fun. You know who you are. Pokes. <3 <3

That's all for now,
hellmos signing off...
