It's new year's day and usually we would go down to east coast park every year for our cycling outing. It is one of the few days that my father does not have to work. And this has become sort of a family tradition to go to east coast park to cycle. Besides, we have a total of seven bicycles, including those in my uncle's family. Haha. And all of us know how to cycle apart from my youngest cousin who is still using a four-wheeler. Anyway for today, we left for east coast park earlier than usual because the weather was good at that time. We would start cycling from the hawker centre next to the lagoon, heading in the east direction towards changi. So we reached the end of east coast park at safra changi and today we found a new cycling route open, leading towards changi park. So it was a 7km park connector linking east coast park and changi park together. We did not manage to cycle until the end but we stopped at the 2km mark where the cycling path is just a road away from changi airport. So basically you can see the airplanes landing onto and taking off from the runway. It was a great view. I have not seen planes taking off or landing up close. It was an unique and perhaps useful experience for me (:
Anyway before heading for the new park connector, we made a detour at betok jetty where all the fishing kakis would gather to fish. There, I commented to my brother on how nice it would be to watch the fireworks from the jetty because it was not blocked by any buildings and we could view the city directly from there. So the fireworks definitely can be seen clearly! (:
Anyway, I am still lacking sleep. I only slept for four hours plus yesterday because I remembered I fell asleep at around 4am. Between the hours when I got onto my bed and until I finally entered dreamland, I just could not fall asleep, no matter what methods I tried. Perhaps I was too worried for you, so worried that my mind refused to go to rest, prompting me to stay awake so that I can know that you are safely back home before it would obediently go into sleep. And indeed so, after your message came, I was relieved and before I realised it, I was asleep already. But nevertheless I still need more sleep. So, I have decided to sleep at 11pm today, which is like now, just a few minutes more then. This should guarantee me six hours of sleep. I hope it's enough. So to add on to my new year resolutions, I must try to sleep more and this applies to you too (: Zzz more alright. Alright I should go now. Tomorrow is the first working day of 2008 and school starts tomorrow too. This means the bus will be more crowded ): Off to sleep now, good night to everyone reading this (:
