Time for another update...
Good news first...To all NSFs who entered national service on 26 Jan 07, we have finally less than 500 days to ORD LOR!!! A light pat on your backs for completing close to nine months of national service. A bit boliao here but I found it quite stress-relieving to know that I have less than 500 days to go (:
Went to beach road last Sunday to collect my extra name tag. After that I decided to walk to north bridge road to explore the area. I recalled exploring that area once after school with jenyi. We took 170 from school all the way to queen street terminal because jenyi wanted to go to beach road and we figured that was the fastest way to get there. So then we walked along north bridge road to get to beach road and that was where I discovered the shop of Tai Sing Corporation where all kinds of model cars, ships, planes as well as childhood toys can be found. Too bad at that time, we just explored the shop and did not get anything. Oh I must mention that the shop itself is the size of at least three shophouses which is really huge. So on Sun I went along north bridge road in the hope of finding that shop again. I remembered I was cursing how hot the sun was as I walked from beach road to the place. Fortunately, once I got to north bridge road, it became walking along those shophouses with sheltered walkways. After a while, I finally found the place :D I went in and somehow looking at the toy cars just brought back my childhood memories. I used to play with a lot of toy cars when I was young. It's like boys will definitely like toy cars. I used to boast a great collection of toy cars when I was young. In the past, I could even tell what was the model of the car just by looking at the car from far. Haha. But as for now, my brother has taken over this job and I would just ask him hehe. In the end, after touring the shop for quite some time, I didn't buy anything much except for a frisbee. The cars were attractive and I did contemplate buying them for my brother and cousins but the thought of being ranted by my mother for getting them toys out of occasion prompted me to drop the idea. So this ends my second trip to Tai Sing Corporation. Future trips might be possible. I would love to bring my brother and cousins there.
I always wanted to go out and explore the rest of Singapore. Better than staying in the office every day to do work. Singapore might be small but there are certainly places worth visiting to get some learning experience.
Lastly, uni life has indeed been very stressful for my friends. The huge load of tutorials, projects and assignments have certainly affected them badly. Even I am worried for my own uni life which is going to start in two years' time down the road. I hope that they are able to get out of their stress and work hard for their studies. This might just be the transition from jc life to uni life, definitely a great leap in the way things work. So to you all, stay strong and jiayou till the end!!!
A small note - I thought of asking you out tomorrow but thinking of how busy you are with your work, all the assignments and work, I felt it was bad to disturb you. I hope my not-so-daily reminders could show their effect but I know it's so much easier to say the words jiayou than to really do it. I probably would not know the helplessness with the never-ending work since I have yet to experience such life. Well what I can do is to probably remind you to do work whenever I can since you tasked me with that (: So remember to do your tutorials, study hard for your quiz, and take care always...pokes pokes...1 am already...zzz...
