A new life, a new beginning

Time to update a bit on my life lol...
NS life has been okay so far. I get to go home everyday haha, working hours 0800 to 1730. Work hasn't really start yet, still undergoing lessons. So far everything seems interesting enough. You know, I may start to like admin work after all haha ;) We will see how things go from here. There's still 1 year and 9 months to go. I hope to get my No. 3 soon, wearing smart 4 is quite troublesome at times.

Went back to NJ last week to look for my CT. I needed her help in my appraisal forms for my scholarships, really thankful that she agreed to help me do it, because it was very last-minute. I met the cai fan uncle while I was there and we had a little chat. He asked about my results and what I wanted to study next time. So I told him that I applied for both universities. Then he asked him why I wanted to apply for both uni. I told him I wanted to increase my chances of getting in. Then he told me something that started my train of thoughts. "It's because of you such people that make those people with poor results suffer. They have to wait for you to decide which uni to go to already then they get the chance to go into the uni."

Come to think of it, he's quite true in some sense. Why apply for so many universities when you know you can surely get into one course. Many would say to leave a back door for themselves. But think of it this way, there are others out there with results so much more lousier than yours and they are all hoping to get into the courses they desire. I have friends who didn't do as well but they still bear the hope of getting into uni. They should be given the hope right? I guess it's the common mindset of people to apply to as many uni as possible. Even I think so this way. What can we do then? This made me realize another thing. Maybe I shouldn't have put mechanical engineering for my first choice for nus. I should have put dentistry instead. It's worth a try but too bad I have already submitted my application and I wrote mechanical engineering on the scholarship application, so I guess, it's too late now.

Time to add photos now, haven't added images on my blog before haha, it's worth a try.
